La primera temporada de Kamp Koral: Los Primeros Años de Bob Esponja se estrenó en Paramount+ el 4 de Marzo de 2021 con "El Chico Medusa" y finalizó el 26 de Mayo de 2023 con "Gorras al Espacio" y "El Día de las Bromas." Esta temporada se estrenó en Nickelodeon el 2 de Abril de 2021 con "Sacazúcar" y "Toma, la Traes" y finalizó el 22 de Agosto de 2024 con "El Día de las Bromas." La serie es un spin-off y precuela de Bob Esponja, presentando versiones más jóvenes de los personajes principales del show original. Bob Esponja, Patricio, Calamardo y Arenita son campistas; la Sra. Puff y Don Cangrejo son los monitores del campamento; Perlita es un bebé; Plankton y Karen son los cocineros del campamento; y Gary es un caracol extraviado que se convierte en la mascota de Bob Esponja.
La temporada se anunció originalmente con 13 episodios de media hora.[1] El 11 de Agosto de 2021, la cifra se amplió a 26.[2] Las primeras 13 medias horas de la temporada fueron estrenadas en DVD el 8 de Marzo de 2022, y las segundas 13 medias horas fueron estrenadas en DVD el 5 de Diciembre de 2023.
Desarrollo[]
Kamp Koral comenzó su producción en abril de 2019, cuando John Cahoon fue contratado como su supervisor de CG.[3] En junio, Joann Chang fue contratada como asistente de producción[4] y Kate Coffey como artista de entorno principal.[5] Chang trabajó como asistente de producción hasta julio de 2020,[4] mientras que Cahoon y Coffey permanecerían durante toda la serie.
El 1 de enero de 2020, John Trabbic publicó un guión gráfico en rough de "Cabina de Curiosidades." El día 16, publicaría una versión limpia, revelando el código de producción y el título del episodio.[6].

"La Vida de Medusa", un episodio de mediados de temporada, tuvo su primer borrador escrito el 25 de febrero de 2021.[9]
En marzo de 2021, se contrató a Andrea Joan Cabral para que se encargara del guión gráfico en la segunda mitad de la temporada. Su trabajo en la serie finalizó en marzo de 2022.[10]
Trabajo para la segunda mitad de la temporada empezó en Abril de 2021. Estos episodios comenzarían a guionizarse,[11][12][13], diseño de fondo[14], y diseño de utilería.[15] Concepto y referencia de arte para "Primeros y Últimos Auxilios" fue desarrollado, y Maddie Carter trabajó en el diseño de personajes de episodios por la mitad de la temporada. Estos incluian Maisey Manes de "El Espíritu del Campamento" el 18 de Marzo, Nurse Helga de "Primeros y Últimos Auxilios" el 12 y 13 de Mayo, el guardabosques de "La Noche del Olor Apestoso" el 14 de Mayo, y el cráneo de "Campamento Pirata" el 1 de Junio.[16] El 24 de Junio, un diseño de una salpicadura de barro de "El Espíritu del Campamento" fue terminado.[17]
El 25 de Enero de 2023, David Thomas subió sus guiones gráficos de "El Campista Perfecto" a Slideshare.[18]
